Book Blogger Insider Tag

Hello readers! I saw this tag on another book blog that I write for and thought that I would give it a shot here.

  1. Where do you typically write your blog posts?

I’m new to the blogging sphere but I’ve typically been writing my posts on the couch in my living room. If it’s a review I’m writing, I also have the book next to me in case I need to reference it.

  1. How long does it generally take you to write a book review?

It depends on the book I’m reviewing and whether I already know what I want to write. Sometimes when I finish a book I automatically know what I want to include in the review and can start on it immediately. Other times I struggle to figure out what I want to include in the review and what I don’t.

  1. When did you start your book blog?

Fathoms Amidst the Lines was officially created on May 5, 2018, but it has been something that I’ve wanted to do for a while.

  1. What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

Given that I’ve just started, nothing. In the future, I can see the worst thing being the self-imposed stress that will likely come from feeling like I need to post more often and balancing the blog with everything else I have going on.

  1. What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

Being able to write and talk about books, especially those that I’m into, and connecting with others who enjoy reading the same things as me. The book community is incredible, and I look forward to getting to know more of the people who call it their own.

  1. What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?

So far, I would say wither this tag post or my review of A Monster Calls.

  1. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?

I don’t have a favorite type yet but I’m sure that will change the more I get into it.

  1. When do you typically write?

I don’t have a specific time, but I am a bit of a night owl and tend to write and be more creative then.

  1. Do you review every book you read?

Right now, no. There are some books that when I’ve finished them I have absolutely no desire to write about, but it’s something that I’m working on. Sometimes I wait a bit before attempting to write about it in case my opinion may change, and I get the will to write about it.

  1. How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?

It varies, sometimes I have coffee or tea when I’m writing, though I always have a water bottle nearby. Typically, I have the tv on or music playing as background noise, and one of my cats are usually sleeping on the couch next to me.

  1. When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?

I’ve been trying to get in the habit of starting them shortly after finishing, but there’s no guarantee that I’ll finish the review in one sitting or even on the same day. A lot of the time it depends on the mood I’m in and whether that mood wants to write.

  1. How often do you post?

I don’t have a schedule set right now, I’m just posting when I have something to post.

I’m supposed to tag 10 others here, but I’m still relatively new to the blogosphere and don’t know many people. So, if you haven’t done this tag and it sounds like something you want to do, leave a comment letting me know so I can check out yours and so I can tag you in this list! 😊
